Mahindra BE6 and XEV 9e Electric SUVs Launched in Birgunj

Agni Incorporated Private Limited, the authorised distributor of Mahindra automobiles in Nepal, has officially launched Mahindra’s Electric Origin SUVs—the BE 6 and the XEV 9e—in Birgunj, marking a significant milestone in the region’s electric mobility journey.

Built on Mahindra’s advanced INGLO platform and powered by MAIA, one of the world’s most intelligent automotive architectures, the launch of these electric SUVs signifies a new era of innovation, performance, and sustainability in Nepal’s automotive landscape.

Both models feature 79 kWh LFP battery packs, delivering substantial driving ranges—up to 543 km for the BE 6 and 656 km for the XEV 9e. The battery packs come with an industry-leading 8-year or 200,000 km warranty, offering long-term ownership confidence.

Ride quality is optimized through advanced semi-active dampers, i-Link front suspension, and a 5-link rear independent suspension. Brake-by-wire technology with an integrated electronic booster, combined with high-power steering, ensures precise handling and responsive driving dynamics.

The BE 6 offers an engaging driving experience with a 6-speed transmission, race-inspired digital cockpit, and multiple driving modes. The XEV 9e takes performance further, boasting up to 199 kW of power in its top variant and a cinematic triple-screen dashboard for an immersive in-cabin experience.

Both SUVs include luxury amenities such as Harman Kardon Sonic Studio sound systems, Autopark functionality, EyeDentity driver and occupant monitoring, and the LiveYourMood cabin ambience system. The XEV 9e also features an AR-based VisionX heads-up display.

Safety is a priority, with the BE 6 offering ADAS Level 2 and the XEV 9e ADAS Level 2+, complemented by 360-degree cameras and the ME4U connected vehicle platform, combining safety, comfort, and convenience.

The launch event in Birgunj was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Mr. Hari Gautam, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Birgunj; Ms. Veda Satasha Shrestha, Vice President of Agni Group; Mr. Vedant Shrestha, Research and Business Development Head of Agni Group; and Mr. Chaitanya Kagalkar, Country Manager of Mahindra & Mahindra.

The event also welcomed Mahindra customers, EV enthusiasts, media personnel, and company representatives.
